Alleged baby snatcher did not show pregnancy symptoms – report

Reports surfaced that the father of a Massachusetts woman charged of allegedly stealing a dead friend’s baby last week revealed that his daughter did not show pregnancy symptoms thus making him doubt that the baby was indeed his grandchild.

Earl Corey, father of Julie Corey, said that his daughter told him that she was pregnant with her boyfriend’s baby a few months ago. However, he did not see any pregnancy symptoms to prove his daughter’s claim.

The father added that if his 35-year old daughter was indeed pregnant then she was excellent in keeping it from them. He added that his daughter left a few months ago in order to have the baby.

Authorities believe that the woman never gave the birth and may have faked the pregnancy in order to claim the newborn girl that she was showing off to friends.

Last weekend, 23-year old Darlene Haynes was found dead with her womb ripped off. She was eight months pregnant at that time.

Earl Corey said that he’s asking for family’s privacy but stressed that they’ve been praying for Haynes and her loved ones to cope with their grief.

The authorities are now planning to conduct DNA tests on the baby in order to determine if Julie Corey is the real mother.
