Positive Pregnancy Signs

Posted at September 23rd, 2008 by Emma

Doctors and mothers alike could never be certain if a woman is pregnant or not until she manifests positive signs of pregnancy. Positive pregnancy signs are those signs that confirm the present of a growing and living fetus in a woman’s womb. Many women wait to get positive signs of pregnancy before they start celebrating or start shopping for baby items.

Are other Pregnancy Signs unreliable?

No, it is not that they are unreliable, it just that they could easily stand for something else. For example, probable signs of pregnancy such as nausea and vomiting and loss or menses could pertain to the presence of an infection and not a pregnancy. Another sign is that of an enlarging uterus. This sign is referred to as a probable sign of pregnancy. However, it could also stand for the presence of other health and biological conditions.

What are positive signs of pregnancy?

Positive pregnancy signs are Fetal Heart tones, Ultrasound detection and Fetal Outline detection via X-Ray. These are signs that undeniably confirm the presence of a fetus. Women and their Obstetricians alike can get hold of positive pregnancy signs early on. The earliest detectable positive pregnancy sign is the fetal hear tone or a fetus’s heartbeat.

Women should be wary about taking X-rays when they are pregnant. Some X-Rays are detrimental to a baby’s health.
